2011 Suzuki Swift

Those who knows me, probably knows that i own a Suzuki Swift which is one my daily excitement. It's never a dull moment driving it. Put it this way, it's a Go Kart which is road legal.

I've own this baby for almost two years, went through a lot of hardships together, thanx to crappie Malaysia's proton wira which has no safety braking system at all (which i do not know why it's being sold and endanger our lifes) and a fucking lorry driver who dared to commit an offence but have no balls to report to the authority. May your son be facing the ass of another person for the rest of his fucking life.

The Swift has been in the market for about 5 years and it's most approriate that a new version will be out to replace one of the best small segment car in the world. Over the years, they are spy shots of the new swift being tested and recently, it was unveil that it will be in the market by 2011. Below are the photos i've obtained from some French website.

For those of you who do not know how does the current Swift looks like (shame on you) or you think it's a Myvi and you think Swift Sport is just a cosmetic version of the Swift (like the Myvi SE), i suggest you go become a car salesman
As for the photos above, i'm truly happy that suzuki decided to retain the overall body design of the car and that makes proud owner like me feel good when a new swift is side by side with me. At least i know people enjoy the current swift so much that they decided not to change it drastically just like mini, xtrail and murano are doing. Somehow, it's like the 308 and the back resembles the previous generation's Megane

Not too sure if the specs will be the same when it reaches Cut Throat Malaysia, but i'm sure we'll be getting at least 70% of what we are looking at. My prediction will be digitial climatic control module gone, some saftey features taken out.

Ok enough of me praising about this affordable super compact car (not in Malaysia maybe), i'm sure there are bunch of swift devoters out there who can decribe the car better than the Skyline (which i will not agree)

I just read through some of my previous post and i've been realizing that i've been crapping about blogging and everytime i did so, i disappear for months. i just miss my consistencies that i once had.

It's the time of d year again where I have to go through the ordeal/ torture of sitting in front of d mirror for at least 4-5 hours for my hair job.

This year will be worst, I'm straightening part of my hair beside the dual color dye I did for d past 3 years

I realize facebook is changing me into my real self, and with this i mean, i curse and scold people to the max using facebook. I wonder what's going on with me, maybe this fb thingy is really bringing out my true self. Yes, i'm a person who likes to complaint a lot but as an Asian, we were taught to shut up and forget about it when things happen.

Talking about twitter, the trending topic currently is #yorais, a topic specially created for our old fashioned IT minister. Freaking Sick

I've been having fever on and off since last Friday, basically, i do not know what's happening to my immune systems, maybe they decided to leave me beginning of the year.

I realize i've been driving dangerously when i'm feeling sick, cutting lane at the nick of time, flying at the bridge at 140kph (Normally on the bridge the max i do is 120, 14o is for highway). I've lost patience, cutting the whole line at the T junction and make a leegal turn infront of all my colleage which i've never done.

Overall, i've miss out a lot of fun last weekend because of the sickness and this weekend supoose to be wuite a family event, let's hope i manage to recover latest by thursday (which is tomorrow)

I frequent this outlet almost 3 times a month and it has been my favourtie joint since they were establish in KL. Lately, i found their food standard drop tremendously, could be some new kitchen management

The incident happened when they serve us noodle which they'll normally ask do you want it to be cut with the scissor? It wasn't asked when the noodle was served and when we asked the fella to help cut the noodle, he look at us and answer in mandarin 'No Hands'.

Well, he's not suppose to say he has no hands but to say please wait, i'll get back to you and this will sound better.

A New Year, A New Launch!

For the year 2010, i'll re-launch my blog into a more interesting place. Instead of just talking about my life, i'll touch more about the services and attitudes that i encounter everyday. Since this place is not giving me passion to come in here like last time, i guess i'll just change it to a place where i'll give short comments.

Those who know me long enough will know that i'm a Nissan Skyline lover (freak). I have a huge collection of die cast cars which are all Skyline. Yes, i have practically bought all the Skyline that you see everywhere in Malaysia (and other countries too). This is just one part of my 'money wasting' hobbies. Too bad though i still haven't own a Skyline yet....

I'm Back Once Again

Hi everyone, i'm officially back once again. As usual blogging wasn't on my agenda for almost a month as i was busy with work and some other stuff that interest me more than anything else, which i'll definitely blog about it in my next post.

Therefore, to apologize to my anonymous readers, i decided to share an image i got from a colleague of mine. I find it really true in my working environment, how about yours? Also the image is now my wallpaper at my workplace, lets hope i can help change the culture and manage to stay on before they realize they dun have to shit at us.

Up Up & Away, Final

After the attempt on Station 3 & Station 5, we hiked ourselves past the boundaries of Station 5. It was muddy track all the way for about 1/2 hour (Bear in mind, no one was around while were we hiking this trail, not even a monkey) and we reached a junction which point:

84: Go Straigth
39: Turn Left
5: Go Backwards

My instinct told me to try 84 and off we continued and half way, things doesn't seems right, the weather was gloomy and i decided to head back and try trail 39 which somehow leads us to an abandon rest area with well equiped facilites to hold a big party, but the strange thing was, the area was deserted and it was getting eerie.

Rain started to pour and it was getting heavy. i went straight and saw a tomb written, 39 and i was relieved we managed to get ourselves to 39, then i follow the long staircase down the hill and while hiking down under the rain, i kept on looking back imagining 'things' were following us. After about 20 minutes of continuous hiking downhill under the heavy pour, i felt to get uneasy and we were not aware where we were heading. then out of no where, a woman with a yellow umbrella appeared and was hiking uphill.

Without wasting/ thinking unlogically that time, i stopped her and asked her in mandarin where is the trail heading, she told us Rifle Range and i thought to myself, fuck, we are now at another side of the hill. Anway, we continue down and came to a rest area with few people and were relieved that finally we can shelter ourselves from the rain. After chatting with the stranded hikers at the rest area waiting for the rain to slow down, we headed down and it took us another 30 minutes before we reach civilization.

So, what do you do when you hike all the way up and comes down at another end? Well, you have to start looking at you handphone's address book and pick a victim nearest to you and in this case, it was my bro to fetch us back to the starting point at Youth Park. While waiting for him to come, of course i savoured myself with 2 roti telur and a cup of teh tarik (Heavenly)

Overall, it was a super experience for both of us, not much picture taken as it was raining and my hp battery was on its way to fail us. Had to save it to call my driver to pick us up. I actually took few photos at Station 39, but it was not saved onto the phone, i wonder, how come....hmmm

I'll be having this new posting where i'll name it Random Update where i'll post misc photos taken by me whenever i'm on the go. Well, don't expect superb quality photos as most of the photos will be taken using my Sony Ericsson Cybershot K800i (Sounds so great, but it's just a bloody hanphone with camera)
Willian & Murni move away, i found a better place serving jumbo juice in JUG, yes JUG instead of the large mug that is normally served at mamak. Venue: The Metro, Ipoh Garden East (I was the lucky one served with jug as they ran out of big mugs btw)

Nasi Lemak Liverpool, one of the famous joint in Penang, finally tried it though it's located near my place. Normal stuff, plus the pandan leaves used on my pack smells like crap

Singapore registered subaru with airbrush motive all over the body. This portion is interesting, there are 2 wolves which looks exatly like the two chap inside the car, muahahaha

Talk about this, hmm, you know who you are, com eon, get up and start baking, your powder is taking up my space and it's an unused inventory to me. So, when can i have this make into the real thing?

Up Up & Away, Part 2

Two weeks after our attempt on Station 3 of the so called 'Penang Hill', this time we made our way up to the next stop: Station 5. It's funny though that all the station were named in odd numberings. What happen to the even numbers?

To cut the story short, our attempt from Station 3 to 5 took us roughly about 1/2 hour with lots of stairs
Welcome to Moon Gate 5, was told there are 8 stations in total. Notice the Penang flag color at the background? Ingenius...

The view at station 5 is relaxing, reminds me of The Peak in HK, here i have a comparison of what i meant. The difference: The Peak's view are concrete jungle but at Station 5, the view is pure jungle on one side and Penang skyline on the other. 2 views, how about that?

Not forgetting the residence of the hill: our relatives, say 'Hi' to the 'moonkey' aka guardian of the Moon Gate BTW, they are all over the hill in different sizes

BD: Squid De Yoong Yoong

Right after the week we attempted the Fettuccine La Fong Fong, things were getting excited and we decided to try out another dish. This time, i'll call it Squid De Yoong Yoong, though the original name for this is Stuffed Calamari.

As usual, ingredients were bought (last minute as we were still 50/50 whether to do it or not). As you can see, 12 squids were bought from tesco, heads, skin and internal parts all cleaned up. In fact i felt good digging the bone out from its body, feels horny though, if you get what i mean...

Smoked bacon, prawn, and toasted garlic bread were all chopped and mince to tiny bits (I can't find bread crumbs, and feeling generous i bought a pack of toasted garlic bread to replace it)

That's me stir frying the prawn and smoked bacon, adding in some basil and butter

Then after all the frying part, we mixed the main ingredients: smoke bacon, prawn and crumbs with parmeesan cheese, then stuffed it into the squid. (Tips: do not over do it thinking it looks good when you see it's round and fat). Well, the book says stuff it and leave is as it is, but as a Chinese, we used toothpick to seal the opening.

Heat the pan, put in garlic and butter (lots of it), then throw in the big fat suckers and you'll immediatelly see it shrink to half its size. (Remember i told you not to over stuffed it. If you do, then the fun part will begin here as the squid shrunken, the ingredients inside has no where to go but to pierce through the squid...Ka BOOM, Kamikaze Sotong)

Fry it till it turns golden brown, but my suggestion for you is, just fry it for 2 minutes for each of it as it will never turn freaking golden brown like what we see in the book. Finally, sprinkle basil on top of it and it's ready to be MUNCHED!

As usual, lets see what are the comments from the in- house chefs

Michelin Consultant CW said, (well, i guess he was impressed as he did not mention anything or he was just too hungry as we took 2 hour + to prepare)
Pinhorn Main Chef said, feels like eraser as we pan fried it too long waiting for it to turn golden brown (which it didn't) Just fried it for 2 mins and next time do not throw the squid head away which is such a waste, and she suggested we stuffed the head into the body together (OK, this is turning into chinese style)
Pinhorn 2nd Chef said OK lah, but recently this 2nd chef is turning into grass eater, so her comment might not be valid
Chopper Boy (Me) and WF felt we did a bloody great job, the squids were great and in fact i like the 'rubbery' feel of the squid...

Overall, i'm glad we did it, at least it proves i can cook to impress when it's needed, next attempt will be......... well, i'll say just gives us a break as i have yet to get over with the feeling of digging the squid.

Fettuccine La Fong Fong

The long awaited meal by the 'fat-fat' duo had finally came true. Over the weekend, WF and me purchased the ingredients for our 'Pasta La Fong Fong'.

We got ourselves, spaghetti, fettuccine, creamy alfredo, whipped cream, ham, mushroom, parmeesan cheese which all of it happens to be imported, except the ham (could be some dead H1N1 swine)
Ingredients ready, sliced ham & mushroom, choped onion 2 cans of creamy 'al the fredo', box of whipped cream from Iran (wtf!! Iran)

Pour in everything, stir fried, mixed around, more whipped cream, salt (from Japan), oregano....

...and finally, the outcome, no spaghetti, fettuccine already too much

The best thing ever created by Malaysians for supper would be burger. Not any chain burgers but our famous road side 'Ramli' burger. You basically choose what you want and behold, the one below is the Double Ayam Special, which means 2 patties wrapped individually with 2 eggs, top with all the vege, carrot, mayo, cheese, chilli, ketchup, and others (things that can clot your nerves)

One bite into it, and i assure you, heaven is just next to you. How can i describe it besides 'Heavenly'. With a glass of super 'manis' teh tarik to compliment it, God, 'Kek Lok Sai Kai' (a place better than heaven) is awaiting you....

2 days ago was my ride's birthday, yes, he's one year old from the day i collected him from the showroom. Well, some of you might be wondering how come i can remember so clearly. Well its easy, my car registration numbers coincidently shows the year, month, day and time i collected my ride.

Lets see what i've done to him after a year...

He was rear ended by some rocker dude at the Penang bridge about half a year ago, i gave him few tattoos which i'll remove one soon, added nice tail for him, changed his glasses FOC as it cracked the second day i own it, he has few scars thanx to the Malaysian road condition and other asshole drivers, replaced an 'ang moh' lung for him so that he can breathe in more, changed its cornea to white, operated his voice so that he speaks like a sumo wrestler, and a lot more, the list just goes on. Will update again when he is 2 years old.

Finally it's Over

Finally, everything's over after almost a week, i was back in Ipoh last week for the longest time ever using my own leaves during weekdays (this does not include CNY and shutdowns). Ah Ma, thank you for burning up all my leaves in one shot, hahaha.

It was a sad yet joyful occasion for us. Sad because we lost our family member, happy because we could gather (maybe for the last time). The possession took 5 days and we had to sing, kneel, eat tasteless food and laugh at the same time. Talking about laughing, we actually laughed infront of Ah Ma's coffin, forgive us as we were suppose to be sad and crying but we turned out to be happy. At least you know we'll lead a happy life after you've reach 'Kek Lok Sei Kai' (The Best Place in the Universe (Better than Heaven))

Below is a summary of my thoughts for the whole 'event':

My Beloved Ah Ma!

My grandma just passed away about an hour ago. I guess now she can finally meet up wif grandpa in a land far far away. I hope they'll be able to meet each other and find eternity. Just want to let her know that i'm sorry i was not at your side when you went away. I'll always remember the great time we used to spent when i was younger.

Congrats to both of my (now no more available) colleagues. First up was Shirley, one of my lunch kaki and she's 1/2 japanese, yeah, how about that? hahaha. Her dinner was at E&O and it was a memorable one especially the food serving. Well, she used to work there, no wonder she can get the guys to cycle and march in for her.

Then it was Elaine, one of my outing kaki, the special thing is, we have the same surname. Her dinner was great too especially her stimming MC who was already half drunk even before drinking. "Ladies and German".....hahahaha.

My birthday this year had been a great one, thanx for all the wishes. SMS dropped this year thanx to Facebook. I was wondering how come no one text me, then when i opened my FB, crap, all the messages were there. Times are so bad meh! few cents also wanna save, hahaha. I also have a topic speacially opened for me from SCM to wish me, thanx guys, Swift ROCKS!

Since working in Penang, i have joined a few membership from various brands. The most significant would be Braun Buffel, every year they will give me a bithday gift and this year they were kind enough to give me a bigger one. A shoe case made of leather, goodness, all these while my shoe bags were just canvas type, this is gonna be great, hahaha. (I'm glad my dear fought the renewal for me this year, hahahaha, she argues, i become the middle person.....)

I decided to pamper myself by buying a pair of classic shoes from adidas. Damn, their shoes are still bloody not comfortable to wear. (Well, i need this pair of shoes for work since my Nike can't stand me anymore and decided to peel off on its own).

Yeah, another membership of mine would be Haagan Dazs. Have been with them since the day i work in Penang, so their usual birthday gift was 20% off. So, with this, i had to treat few person and i decided to try their Chocolate Jouney which i've changed to not so chocolate as you can see below. Talking about this, my Swensens membership is gonna expire soon. I'm not going to lose this as it gives me super duper good deals.

Besides all of the above, other happenings would be my early birthday treat at Sire Museum, an over rated diner i would say. The best thing was we saw a local production having some shooting. Then on birthday itself, i managed to get a few colleagues to hang out after work at McD Auto City, thanx guys. Then i also had a treat from my department at Bkt Tambun, thanx and finally i know that my boss is cool and have balls, BRAVO. I was also treated to TGIF in an instant right after i wrote on my wall at FB that i wanted TGIF, DAMN, should have written Ferringhi Grill, hahaha. Actually a week before i was treated by my buddies in Ipoh too, nearly forgot that.

Anyway, i had a great one this year and i hope all of you celebrating out there will have a great one too. My celebration is still not over, i still have people owing me present and treat...hahaha. Also, i've bought myself another present today (since no one gives me present), will blog about it later.

What would you buy your dad, lets say he has eveything? (well, practically everything). Treating him to a dinner, i guess, thats a must, so this year me and bro decided to give him something special.

We treated HIS car to a super duper expensive (at least to me) spa. Yeah, give it a 7 layer waxing and polishing, clean the interior. All these took 10 hours. Yes, 10 freaking hours with 1/2 dozen of people cleaning it towards the critical hour. I'm still not satisfied with the interior cleaning where i think i can do a better job. Overall after RM630 poorer, at least they manage to clean the exterior quite well.

Well, i'll only be paying fraction of it, the rest will be bear by someone who earns more than me, hahahaha. If you are curious, the products used were Meguirs and the whole cleaning was done at Pro Car Care Centre at Ipoh.

WTF Haze!

I just can't believe this, the freaking indons are doing this again. Every year this time, they'll just have to burn something and freaking haze our country. And the best thing is our government is not doing anything about it for so many years, all they do is warn them and the burning continues, bloody fuck up!

So what you get with assholes neighbours burning and el nino weather? HAZE! As you can see the photos below, you can't freaking see anything at the background at 6 something in the morning. It's totally blank and there goes my lovely morning sight.

And why is it the photos are blur, well, its because i'm driving at the speed below as the photos were taken. Early in the morning, not much cars on the bridge, what you do? You speedlah of course, muahahaha.

I always like Scrit design for their aftermarket exteriors. The first version was great but the back bumper is a bit over. Now comes the second version, subtle and aggresive at the same time. I really like the diffuser a lot, i wonder where can i get the diffuser itself instead of an add on on the back bumper with built in diffuser.

Over the weekend, the Penang Turf Club had open day where they get eveyone there to check out the turf. It was interesting indeed to be there to check out all the rooms, stuff and equipments they have, no forgetting the horses.

It was packed with lots of people, i was there for a short while and i had to leave, too bad, if not i would check out every single corner of it.

Penang Times Square (PTS)

Wanted to have dinner at New Lane just now, but was attracted to the lightings at PTS. Made a big turn towards there, entered their horrible car park, i bet if i'm driving the GTR35, sure cannot fit into their miserably small lanes.

Overall PTS will still need a very longgggggggg time before it can be operational. Only 1% of the shops were opened (mostly eateries with double stories which is a nice concept), besides that, you can just drop by at night to chill by their open area which is equip with a huge stage, water shooting up from the ground, mist shooting up from the ground, lightings shooting up from the ground and a giant snake and ladder there.

This is really a BD post i would say, all the members had already featured right after the trip. I wanted to revived the blog then, but i was too lazy.

Since owning the Swift, i join Swift Club Malaysia too and got to know a bunch of great Penang swifters (that's what swift owners are call though we can't fly but we drive as though we fly.)

My first outing or convoy was to Ipoh for breakfast with the Ipoh swifters, then off to Gunung Lang for a boat ride, then up to Kuala Kangsar for more shooting and finally back Penang for dinner.

It was a great outing and i'm looking forward to the next one, now that we have more members. I'm happy i chose my ride with my feeling and not masses.

BD: Astro WLT Award

Thanx to Astro, i do have a lot of chances attending free events. The recent one will be the WLT award in Genting arena of stars. I've taken more than 200+ photos and my final outcome is my 200mm is not long enough, very the sad. I need at least 300mm, who wants to sponsor me.
Its amazing how girls can be so fanatic towards artists. My girlfriends were shouting like school girls while we were at the red carpet. How i hope they'll scream at me this way, hahaha.

BD: Mah Lat & Make it Happen Trips

For the past 8 months, i've been extensively travelling to KL for every 1-2 months just to meet up with my buddies. I call it the 'mah lat' trip since it only involves guys at first, then as girls started to join in, i have no choice but to name it 'make it happen' as some of the guys started to miss the events.

Our 'mah lat' trips were all healthy except when we go 'wash cloth/ eyes' at laundry. We explore the kl tower, klcc bridge (yes, you have to wake up at 4am, then go queue, or else you'll have to just admire from the bottom), look out point, genting, eyes of malaysia (which is now in malacca)and beaches in penang as well since the trips normally start from central then up to north.

Ok, since i've missed out on blogging, i'll back date some of the events from time to time. So for past events, i'll have BD at the title.
My colleagues and I used to have Friday outing after work until one of them left for Sg, then the whole group becomes so decent as we go home after work at the end of the week. Sucks isn't it. Recently we had a BBQ party next to Sg. Rambai, thanx to Eve. It has been a long time since all of us group and have fun together with new colleagues who recently joint as well.

We were drunk (especially the guys) at the end of the party because we found a master who can brew liquor from various herbs, (whatever you can think off). Imagine naming a liquor after Mao Ze Dong, 'Che Lai, Che Lai, Che Lai.....' hahaha.

I'm a weird person when it comes to food. Don't ask me why. I go, eat, get full and sleep.

I don't eat mandarin orange (yes, i'm a chinese). So every year when it's near CNY the whole office will have these oranges all over but i decline them all. I don't eat pomelo as well. Dun ask me why coz i've never tasted mandarin orange and pomelo before. They just do not interest me.

There are other stuff that i don't eat, like chicken leg (which is bloody disgusting, imagine licking people's feet), 'spare parts', stuff which have weird color:- purple.

Somehow, when i started working in Penang, i've crave for 3 items. First will be ladies finger, then steam pork rib from the dim sum and recently 'vade' which is my version of indian doughnuts

The next time you drop by any mamak, be sure to get one and try. Choose the one which looks crunchy and you'll know how i feel. These 'vades' have been my breakfast together with toast for the week.

Freaking Dust!

I was at Juru Villa to check out their semi d and bungalow units over the weekend. One thing i learnt was, never go to any showrooms which are situated at the site itself especially when contrcution is going on.

That was the dust collected on my car's rear wiper less than 1/2 hour while i was there. It's an inch thick and it followed me back all the way to island. Just imagine how the rest of my car looked like.

Free Sushi

What would you do if you have RM120 Sushi King vouchers? I was at e-Gate outlet for the last 2 days just to finish it before it expires end of the month.

Monday, i paid RM8+ and Tuesday i paid RM4.50 for all the stuff i've eaten at Sushi King after taking away RM120 & 20% off. Well what can i say besides saying 'Arigato' to Sushi King an also HSBC (well, not really HSBC cause i had to spent to get those vouchers). And the best of all i paid the amount using HSBC card, no cash involved. You go in, order, eat, pay, and leave.

Anyway, the food at Sushi King still SUCKS BIG TIME except their Egg Mayo

As Promised!

Hi, as promised, i'm back and i'll try my best to sustain my blog with at least 2 entries per week. Hmmm, where should i start, there's so much that i wanna blog about since i'm MIA for so long.

Ok, lets start with the recent one and i'll slowly back track. I was at Auto Bavaria Penang yesterday for their so call 'Supper Appreciation'. I had 3 pieces of roti telur, a drumstick and a cup of teh tarik, all thanx to BMW. (Though i don't own a BMW, but hell yeah, they give free food, i eat lor since times are bad)

There was a X5, 320, 320 sports, 323 and a 525. What can i say, the 5 is really luxury, like the built in shades and the seats. The X5 is one cool SUV, but no glove compartment and the last row of seats are horrible.

Since the cars were all usual stuff, i went upstairs to their motorad section to check out the 2 wheelies. 'Awesome', the bikes looks super cool. Price at RM8+0K and RM140+K, all i can say is, i would wanna get seen riding on of these along the Penang bridge (like i know how to ride a bike), but just make sure i don't fall and get crushed by it.

Yes, finally it's here, after 5 weeks of ordeal and nightmare (which i'll mention in another entry), it's with me now. I know i've promised to have some teaser for you in my previous entry: My Biggest Decision Part 1, but i just don't have the time as i'm tied up with work and more to come, sad sad.

OK, forget about all the surprises, here, i present to you my biggest decision so far which might affect me so much, i'll just have to makan roti for the next few years, hahaha.

I got it last saturday after much not so pleasent encounter, but i'm cool about it as i'm a high EQ person, hehe. Drove it back to Penang yesterday, bumpy ride, over all is nice. Then went over to waterfall for the car to be blessed so that it will be accident free and strike lottery, but too bad at 8pm, no news of thebookie calling back, so my RM6 went into the drain (btw, i haven't pay yet, hahaha). Well, not just me, a lot of people's money also gone. Sorryler.

This morning, i woke up got into my car and was shocked to see my windscreen cracked. What to do, Swift is famous for this. there goes my tinting, sad.

I was down with flu the whole of last week. Took a day off by myself, then one day of MC. It was so terrible my joints were so painful i have problem sleeping. Then over the weekend in Ipoh ( Yeah, still can drive back, hehehe), i had my 'sure cure' medicine at Poh Woh Tong. This is the only chinese medicine i take everytime when i'm down, the most bitter and actually tasted like shit. But hell, it cures me, hehehe.

I've been discussing about this for sometime and finally after the right deal, i did it and now i'll have to wait for it and hopefully will not have to worry about it.

My 2nd Home!

Just want to show you where i spend my 9 hours everyday and 44 hours a week at. Below is my room at my workplace, quite new since i only moved in after CNY this year after being homeless for more than 1/2 a year.

OK, more about the functions of this room, which is call Media Room. It's a library, yes, a mini library, a control server for the company's plasma visual display systems, my desktop, company's archive and also server for uploading to the company's HR web. It is also equip with multimedia support that can cater to all staff at anytime.

Not forgetting, this is also a recording room, yes, if you see properly the glass panels are double layer and the room is padded with 3 layers of sound insulation materials on the roof, and the three sides of the walls. It's also the only room that has down lights besides the GM's room, hehehe, What else... hmmmm, on yeah, it also has 2 air conds and blinds

Final Verdict: It's also known as Air Asia Ticketing Counter to all staff and the best of all, i'm the only one sitting in this room, no one else but me and myself...

Want to know what's a Moire Effect. This is what i found at Wiki:-

"A moiré pattern (pronounced /mwɑːˈreɪ/ or /ˈmɔəreɪ/ in English; [mwaʁe] in French) is an interference pattern created, for example, when two grids are overlaid at an angle, or when they have slightly different mesh sizes.
Moiré patterns are often an undesired artifact of images produced by various digital imaging and computer graphics techniques, for example when scanning a halftone picture or ray tracing a checkered plane (the latter being a special case of aliasing, due to undersampling a fine regular pattern)."

According to the guys at Nikonian, the Moire Effect has two reasons to be there, good and bad. Good being, the photo is too sharp until the effect is out, the bad will be, your client will screw you upside down for this, hahaha.

My First!

I had a great time yesterday attending the Basic to Intermediate Photography session by Nikonian Academy. It was no basic looking at the bodies and lenses that the participants had. If you are a PnS user, you'll look like a monk standing at Mecca, TRUST ME, get your $$$ and start investing on DSLR system and you 'll never look back (like i always say)

We had an hour of theory by Andrew and Sean. After that, it was off to the real thing. Personally, i think this class is more on introducing Creative Lighting System (CLS) which i'm hook on now. I guess i'll have to say, i love the flash from now on, no lights no shoot, hahaha. We were taught to also feel our aperture and shutter, haha.

Final Verdict: All shots taken using D300, 50MM 1.8D and SB800 on board not forgetting the rest of the 3 speedlights position differently, the stand fan, etc.. I really have a long way to learn and it's just a starting point. BTW, SB800, i'm coming for you soon, and i mean REAL SOON

Ok, wanna share the latest news with you, (will update the rest later) it happened today. I went for a so call fish therapy at New World Park, located off Swatow Lane today. The place is call Happy Feet Fish Spa

"Happily Being Eaten Alive by Big Ass ' Anchovies'"

Something SUPER NEW in Penang since it's the first to stop by (don't know how long it can last). I paid RM18 for a 30 minutes session where these fishes called Garra Rufa that look like anchovies on steroids nibbles on my feet like million of ants trying to to get up to my face through my feet. It was ticklish the first time i had my feet in, then after a while, you get used to it ocasionally having some bite, hahahaha.

Final Verdict: It's rubbish, my feet were still not as clean as i've expected, get a foot massage, it's more worth it. These fishes have no live, they'll just nibble whatever shit on your feet for nothing until they die of too much shit of course (Yes, i saw one casualty floating around being nibbled by its own species, Double SHIT) For the meantime it's RM18 (Ok lah), so if you want to try it out, do it fast before it goes to RM28 (Better get yourself a Carl's Junior Superstar Meal and keep the change).

Finally its over, i can't show you much now as i need to select the photos and do lotsa touch up and other amendment.

Final Verdict: It's not as easy as expected, but overall the turn out of the photos are great, can't wait for the post processing

More about the title later, once again, i'm back after missing in action for quite sometimes. i've been thinking how can i get consistent at blogging and i came out wif a brilliant idea. you know at msn messenger, there's a column where you can write whatever you wish and it will appear next to your nick. OK, lets get thing straight and this will be a TRAC for myself. i'll update my blog whenever i change the column thingy at msn.

Over the weekend, i was busy with my car, had it service at 157k ++, then changed my 4 trusty, but harden michelin xm1 tyres. the last i changed it was like almost more than 3 years. so i guess it's time for me to replace it with something good.

No more japanese rubber this time, but italian, (is it italian!!!) muahahaha (like i drive an italian car). well for a change, i guess there's no harm. was recommended that this brand is comfy, soft, good water dispersion (all those shit that a tyre guy will tell you always)

So, i spent more than 1/2 a thousand over the weekend and i was looking forward to go back penang and test my tyres on the highway. the result came out terrible, the guy did a bad job on the alignment and it was swaying one side the whole journey. other than that, fantstic rubbers, went through the water perfectly just like Barum tyres that i used to own. the XM1 were disaster on water.

Moments ago, i went to have the alignment checked, got it done, became a member of the tyre shop where i pay an amount of fee, and i get to pump in NITROGEN whenever i like it, muahahaha (they'll be so afraid of me when i go there every fortnight). the membership will expire until i change my tyres.

Back to the title, my new rubbers were made in Turkey and on one side it's stated in English and on the outer side, it says Turk Mali, muahaha, Ipoh Mali.

Final Verdict: So overall, be it Pirelli or Barum, continential tyres are great on the road, i think i'll never look back on japanese tyres (only if i'm super broke). Can't wait to test out my perfectly tuned tyres with nitrogen in it. Coastal highway and Penang bridge, here i come.

Images were taken on a cloudy day, in fact before i finish taking, it started to rain. Personally, i think these photos can go into some car magazines, hehehe.

Finally, i've come to the end of my 4 part entries: Happiness, Celebration, People, and now Photography. Over the year of 2007, i've embarked seriously on photography and i'm sure some of you have notice that i've taken more than just abstract photography (which is my favourite). In the year of 2007, i've invested on a 55-200mm VR lense, which takes superb photos, bought 2 new batteries (after the original died when i want to use it on my Cameron Trip 1, 2), bought a Crumpler 6 million bag for my gears. and lately before CNY, i ordered a Nikon D300, YES, i'm finally going to own a very professional dslr soon, (of course that will be before the D3)

Final Verdict: With the D300 in my hands soon, i'll be emabrking on serious photography....

Since working in Penang, i seldom have the chance to meet up with my friends unless i'm back in Ipoh or when i'm down to KL. During the Raya, i travelled down to KL, visited Pavillion, Garden over the weekend. The reason being, i don't wanna be KIASU, i want to know how does the 2 new attractions look and feels like. Last time, when i retired off from KL, the hip place was The Curve and you can imagine, that was 2 years back.

Final Verdict: Pavillion, not my choice, Garden, please fix the leakage at your car park, the cement stains from the leakage can still be partially seen on my car. SkyBar is freaking HOT

Part 2: Celebration

The last quarter of 2007, i've been attending a few celebrations and below are some of the worth metioning, (WHY!, read the rest)...

Besides my usual job at my workplace, i'm also one of the many part time MC for my company. That means, if there's any event going on, chances of me being selected to become a MC is.... errrr...HIGH. When i joined, i was somehow being given this task (unwillingly). It started off with a small crowd of less than 100 people at the cafeteria, then it increses to less than 200 at the learning center, then to about 500 at a cost reduction function, and recently at the company's carnival, bukit merah, more than 2000 people.

Come to think of it, it's really nice of them to give me such a task, never thought i could overcome a small crowd furthermore thousands.....all i can say know is BRING IT ON

For the Xmas outing, we had 2 different dinners to cater for everyone and being the active ones, i attended both, and exchanged presents 2 times, then party at SS and sing K.....

Then on Xnas morning itself, i presented presents to my niece and her cousin. Well, this is the first time i bought presents for kids after 25 years..... 'WINK'

I thought it would be easy for me to just chunk in photos of what i've been up to for the past 4 months. But, if you know me well, i'm those who can resist on writing if i'm given the chance. I'll be posting the next few entries based on titles so that all of you can catch up on my happenings

As you can see, i've been travelling places most of the time attending dinners. Lets talk about the photos, i've attended 7 wedding dinners and it cost me a BOMB, friends please stop getting yourself commited or else i'll have problem mending the hole in my jeans.

5/7 photos are in this entry, the 6th wedding is missing because i do not know the couple and for the 7th wedding: Ivan & Goon, i'll dedicate a special entry for them after i've finish updating all my stuff .

Final Verdict: I donated more than RM600 for these 7 dinners, (I said more because that do not even include parking ticket, petrol, my time, car maintenance...etc) hmm, come to think of it, kinda resonable right, because for that amount of money, i can't even get anything to upgrade on my DSLR besides 4 pcs of batteries, and hell yeah i need more batteries. OK, i'm infected by the islander disease: KIAMSIAP!!!! (BTW, Ang Pow for Weddings are much more cheaper in northern region)

I’m back after more than 4 months missing in action. Thanx to those who still drop by my site every now and then though I’ve not been updating anything.

Forget about the past as I do not want to mention why I had been missing for so long.

Which basically means, after more than 2 years of working, this is the first time I’m taking one day off for no purpose, chilling inside my room. Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2007 (Part 2)

I was at Cameron, and one of the many places i visited was the Smoke House, nice English Colonial mansion, with great landscape, but too bad, you can't enter unless you are dining/ staying there which will cost a small hole in your pocket if you decide to do so....

After the house, we went to few other places before we ended up at the Cameronian Bharat Tea Valley. Super Duper nice scenary from there, but the food SUCKS, the scones were like expired KFC bun, muahahaha.

After the Valley, we took trunk road back to Tapah, then NSH all they way back to Ipoh, and as i was mentioning earlier, the driving part, well, i hit 180kph on an Ultimate Driving Machine, (which was only a wake up call for the beast), Fuyohhhhhhhhhh.....................

Final Verdict: I had a fun weekend, but too bad (really bad), my DSLR was down, stupid battery, so all the pictures was taken using the digital camera which i never taught i'll be holding one for travelling after i own a DSLR....

ITS FRIDAY!

Yes, somehow, its Friday again, this is the only day of the week that excites me much. I get off from work at 4pm, I somehow (if lucky enough) will avoid the bridge jam, I get home early, get to watch my usual TVB series. Isn't it wonderful....

OK enough of me ranting, Ujin was asking me to "UPDATE YOUR BLOG lah" yesterday, so as a good blogger, i obey my readers' (or should it be reader's) request. I know i've been missing in action for almost a month. Well, that's my style, once i blog, you'll see me everyday, when i stop, then you can travel to China by ship and you'll see my new entry.

Last month, i've been to a few mamaks which offers great roti tisu. (Roti Tisu is a type of Malaysian Thin Pancake which looks like tissue). Normally, the tisu i've eaten most probably comes in the height of a 1.5L mineral bottle, but the one i went recently is twice the height and require two plates to support. Below are two examples of how Roti Tisu looks like. I've outlined it in red.

Then, last week, i went to some so called Charity Sale. Well i'll just call it a "KiamSiap Charity". It was raining like there's no tomorrow, people were everywhere all over the place on a one way street which was converted into temporary stalls for the sale. Foods were freaking expensive (as usual).

What a Day!

Got down from my car this morning at work, as usual, made my round check on my car (i'm a pathetic) to see if there's anything wrong and to my surprise, found a screw lodged onto my front tyre. Took time off and got it patched up.

Then went to 'snake' around for petrol then rewarded myself with a RM1.50 hot dog, well that's cheap if you compare to those selling at 1901. Then went shopping at the employee store and bought about RM100 worth of toys... (DAMN, my company is in a way stealing my money by enticing me)

Hi, i'm back again after missing in action for sometime. Finally, i get to know how to post video through YouTube, all the way into my blog. OK it might sound silly, but i do not explore all these things all the time. So it's just by coincidence that i want to try out whether embedding the code will work or not and it turns out fine.

Final Verdict: Saw this MV before but i felt it sounds kind of touchy though i do not know what's the meaning of it, but it sure feels good to have such romance where you'll normally see in TVs....

Ever tasted roti canai, in this case roti telur (since i like roti telur soooooooooooooo much) which was served with the usual roti and the egg inside was half boiled and a littile bit of sunny side up? Imagine the horror, if one of your usual mamak serves you one plate of those.

Well, this happened to me, when i was at my usual weekend breakfast place at jones road. Apparently, the previous owner which served the best roti canai in the whole of penang, (accodring to my taste) decided to venture their family business down south to johor. Sad isn't it.

Final Verdict: Now, i'm left with no place for roti, my crave for 2 pieces of roti telur is gone, (roti served with purple onion, arghhh...)

Somehow, it just feels good when you see your work being display and viewed by others. In this case, by almost 3k people around my workplace. I came into this plant after graduating and was given the role of communication and multimedia. Creating video is part of my my daily task, and also at the same time, i was given the chance to help create email send outs, posters, and banners for publicities. The first banner on top is for my company's recent English Week, yeah, isin't it fun to work in a company that actually, somehow resembles your university years. (YES, you did not have to see that statement again, we are indeed producing 4.2 millon cas every week for the enitre world, Toyota is just loser) My aim, will be: I want my work to be display all over (the country, as a starting) and be remembered. Finally, my awaited workstation is here after a long wait joining my exisiting 1 year old +unit. Weighing more than my niece, it took me a trolley and 2 person to carry this new baby of mine. If you see properly, you'll be able to see that there's a steel bracket at the bottom to support this unit in case it not properly placed to prevent it from falling aside.

Final Verdict: Will update you once the whole system is in place. It will be a fun week for me, anxiously awaiting the setting up of this entire system...... Com on guys, i'm getting restless

OK, i admit the 2D Simpsons Movie was entertaining, though all the jokes were the usual ones that we've seen, heard or even performed before. So what, if it's a stupid movie, you only need to pay RM8 and you get one hour plus of laughter non stop.

I'm never a simpsons fan, in fact i've never properly watch a complete simpsons show before. The only good thing i did was to finished up the whole simpsons game in my gameboy last time. Hereby, here's a few tips, if you wish to watch this movie:-

Watch it on a Monday after work when you feel that the world has no sense of humour
Wear the simpsons shirt that can be found at the bossini shop now (not that expensive though) and be proud about it
Always munch and gulp the popcorn fast or else the one sitting infront of you will have never ending corns on his/ her head.
You have to remember the song: Spider Pig, (Lets sing togehter) "spider pig, spider pig, does whatever, a spider pig does, can he swing from a web, no he can't, he's a pig, look out.................. he is a spider pig"

Final Verdict: I LOVE FRIDAY, my working initiative is only 2%, 1% for staying awake until 4pm and the final percentage is for taking my time to blog here

What's a trip to Ipoh, without indulging in good local food. (Penang may be good in local food, but Ipoh is not that bad either) OK, i know i've been blogging a lot about food recently, hey, i just can't STOP eating these few months. Maybe because i'm going through my second stage of growing process (DAMN, at the age of 25, i'm still growing, well it's good after all considering how 'tall' am i)

OK, let me introduce to you one of the MUST VISIT eatery in Ipoh when you are around. Located at Leong Sin Nam street, this shop is call Sun Hup Kee (SHK), spanning a history of more than a decade, it has been my favourite eating place since i was in primary school. Famous for their "Kei Lap Fan" or better know as chicken cube rice, this is one of their specialities besides the curry fish head, assam prawn and also "sam wong tan" which means the dish is actually a plate of steam egg with salted and century eggs inside.

One thing i must warn you when you visit this place, is to be prepared to get restless as the environment is SUPER NOISY, customers tend to talk loudly in a confine one shop lot unit. That's why they sticked lots of absorbing sponge on the ceiling whch i doubt will produce any results considering how chinese people dine. "Wherever there are chinese people, it'll always be noisy and merry"

Final Verdict: Give it a try the next time you visit ipoh, you'll definitely have good memories. Also, i was told by a reader of mine (whom only reads my blog when she's boring) that i write too much and she wants to see MORE PICS. so in a way, she's asking me to SHUT UP and just TAKE MORE PHOTOS, hahaha, she's none other than Jess Lim. Btw, thanx for the feedback. For those who missed out the reason why i created a 'Final Verdict' at the end of every entry is to summarized some of my long winding entry in case you do not want to read the content.

Had a wonderful weekend back in ipoh, then when monday comes, it was really hell of a monday, got a last minute order where i have to come up with a video for the next day's update. Was speechless at first as the time given were too short and i was also pissed because of the way they managed things. But i managed to turned it all over (as usual) as i'm used to their 'last minute' style. So here i am happily blogging.

Local: Josephine Goh (Images above, fell for her after i saw her appearing before the Miss Chinese Astro 2006, Btw she was the 2nd runner up). Another one, will be Kirby Chan, (local drama series actress, became her fan after i found out she owns the same tag heuer watch as mine), pathetic isn't it!
Hong Kong: Yoyo Mung Kar Wai (The first time i saw her was in a magazine, thought her name Yoyo was cute, then i got to see her in KL once, LIVE, and i was so happy, but she's super skinny in person)
Miss Hong Kong: Aimee Chan (Year 2006, too bad she failed to get into top 5)
American: Kirsten Dunst (After watching bring it on, i never turn back since then, she becomes hotter each day). Then, Mira Sorvino, (hooked to her after watching the replacement killer, don't ask me to describe more, i just think she has the personality)

Ok, i got to admit this, i'm getting looney these days, YES, yet i went to dragon-i again last weekend, so in total i've been there like 4-5 times this month and for your info this month has not ended yet, hahaha. But this time, i didn't have my usual that i ordered everytime because i've came to an end and i want to try their noodle, ok, the fried la mien with minced chicken and cabbage was kinda good.

Well, it's not that i've never tasted dargon- i before it was availabe here in Penang, i've gone to the KL outlets a few times, but somehow, i found the Penang outlet offer better food. Or maybe because this outlet offer food that makes me miss mum. Yes my mum can cook very nice home dishes (whose mum doesn't anyway), and this mean in Penang, you don't get those food that you get back in Ipoh, so it's totally different. I wonder when will dragon-i come out with loyalty membership. And it's confirmed that they'll open another outlet at Sunway Carnival Mall.

Ok enough of that, let me review what's on the pictures. Is call Zing Do, located at the Gurney Plaza Walk (Breaks ex outlet). Korean style fast food apparenty. You'll be served, then when you sit down and they pass you the menu, they'll tell you to order it at the cashier at the corner. (Why you need to serve people to sit down when it's self- service) Morons!

Then when i was at the cashier, i was served by this chap who looks like some idiotic/ wannabe taiwanese hip- hop punk. For god's sake, if you wanna wear an apron and become a waiter or in your case a cashier, please be like one, don't wear the baseball cap, and also Please wake up, it's like 1 something in the noon and you look like an addict. Doesn't know anything about what's on the menu, in the end he was helped by another chap (which looks more like a waiter).

The food there, not recomended, go next door for a Mcd happy meal, it's more worth is, at least you get a toy. I was told earlier that this place sucks, but still i wanna give it a try, but too bad, it failed, the service sucks, the food, errr, how should i call it...ok don't waste time, no word to describe how bad is it.

Final Verdict: Go dragon-i, more worth it, hahahaha. Stay tune, for more food and outlet review..

FUCK YOUler (oppps, i mean Chillies, particularly, the Chillies at G Hotel Peanng), What do you mean by no refill if we are sharing, what's this, some kiasu-ism term you learnt since you opened in Penang. I can't believe i'm hearing this from an international chain whose standard is on par with TGIF, but came up with such term. This is the first time i'm hearing this after i went to so many other different outles who offers bottomless drink, eg, Burger King, Grannys, TGIF, MFM, Road House Grill, Mcd....etc.

So what, i shared, and i got my refill, what are you going to do? The service there is lousy, the seats i was given was so cramped, like we are eating inside a pig shack. But, they are lucky because their food made back for what they lacked. Overall, the food was great, i like their cheese soup, very nice plus their kids mac cheese. Portion served was large, good when you are hungry, (where usually chinese will say, 'i'm so hungry, i could eat an elephant') then it's a heaven for you.

Final Verdict: Recomended! Good food, but lousy service, overall the whole outlet is run by the same species, go there and you'll know which species i'm talking about. And, about the drink, arghh, just tell them to screw themselves anti clock wise. I ordered, I shared, and i Refilled. What are you going to do? REMEMBER, you are only Chilles, but I'm Chilli Padis, muahahaha.

"Strawberry Cheese Cake"

Somehow, i spent my weekend aimlessly for the last 2 days. Wanted to go Penang Hill, went there, and the time wasn't right, so went to Batu Ferringhi through the Air Itam- Balik Pulau route. Please don't ever use this route if you wish to check out the beach, please use the route provided by MPPP by going through the city then up the hill and you reach the beach in less than 1/2 hour. Bloody hell, it took me me more than an hour just to reach there using that route. Luckily the sceneries were great.

Went to Golden Sands Resort for tea. The interesting part was, they introduced their strawberry cheese cake and we said ok, at the same time, ordered cheese cake, pandan cake. It turn out that the strawberry cheese cake and the cheese cake is the same thing, the catch is, it comes with 3 extra strawberries skewered to a satay stick, the slice was bigger with an ice- cream. WTF, WTF, that's not strawberry cheese cake, THAT'S CHEESE CAKE WITH STRAWBERRIES.

Final Verdict: Not a good place for tea though the price is cheap. The cakes sold at the night market is even cheaper and on par with theirs.

No Sacrfice, No Victory

OK, i had 6 hours of sleep and i'm sure i'm able to write a review for transformers based on my judgement in clear consent without any 'sleepy' influence. I heard of people who went and watch this movie 6 times, and that's like 2 hours x 6 times = 12 hours, Damnm these people does have all the time in the world. For me, i guess the max i'll watch is another time in the movie and maybe max 2 times on the DVD, then i'll just keep it as one of the action pack collection.

Somehow i think the storyline started off quite lame with poor computer graphics (CG) when it was telling us what happened between the autobots, decepticons, cybertron, cube...etc. After that, i guess the story pick up quite nicely. It's definitely another American movie where you can see their brute force of armies, showing to us the message "don't mess with us" and what kind of fire power they have. Afterall, tansformers was an american cartoon (wasn't it).

I particularly like the emotion and bond between the robots and humans in this movie, i think they just sparked off well, there's the feeling there which you (at least i did) will feel touched.

The objects the robots transforms into were all GM cars (autobots), really boring car i would say, camaro, hummer, pontiac (yawn...). Somehow, i don't like american cars, bulky, big, over exaggerate, compared to japanese car, they lacked the design motive. Then the decepticons turn into military weapons, tank, F22..... which i reckon is not balance, military stuff vs normal vehicles. (As usua, the bad guys are always more powerful than the good ones).

Fighting scenes between robots were messy, can't see anything as they were rolling all over the screen, if there are any GC defects i bet no ordinary people can figure out. The decepticons look ugly (i guess they are suppose too), the one i think look the great most is prime, maybe because from all the robots, prime was always shown closed up. The script between robots somehow doesn't sounds real to me, there's this scene they said "you'll die", well when you hear such phrase, normally, is between human conversation, robots should say, "you'll be destroyed". Well ike the robots said, they learnt it through WWW. Also one thing i expect is, when it's a battle between such high tech robots, why do they still need to fight it the rugby 'bollywood' way. They have to charge themselves forward hug the other robot and punch, judo, karate, then rolled of the interchange, rolled over the city.... I was expecting them to shoot missles, laser, all over the places like how the military attacked them.

Music and sound effect were nicely blend, well done to the composers. And of course the best part is always when the they transform and then there's this metal clanking sound plus some sound generated wave combination, priceless, brings back my childhood immediately. Megan Fox, is HOT, who here doesn't agree, i'm going into your dreams tonight and make sure you agree with me, hahaha. The way the shots and angles were all nicely done in order to make her perfect, well done. (Gosh, she's so HOT).

Sector 7, under the Hoover dam, cube and mengatron trapped under the dam which was purposely built to housed them but not the sake of generating electricity for Las Vegas, this is very fictional or was it non fictional. Somehow, in the movie, there's always sens of humour, even the robots can crack jokes and make themselves funny, cool, again, thanx to the WWW. I like the part where the soldiers were calling for help through the handphone at Qatar where they were attacked by the scorpion bot, the guy who asked for visa, then...... (recall it yourself)

Final Verdict: I will not rate it the Roger Ebert way: two thumbs up (did he give 2 thumbs up?), i think that's lame though i know he's one of the best movie crictics around. All i can say is, overall, i love the movie, the bond between human and robots was successfully instill, i really love it, made me emtional. Conclusion, Optimus you are cool, but where's the tank that you are suppose to carry around?, Megan Fox, you are going to be my next idol after Kirsten Dunst.

Went to Swensens, (YES, less than a week, i was there again)

Watched Harry Potter
Managed to sit down at Borders alone reading a DLSR manual (because i do not wish to pay that amount to buy it, so i'm going to make a few more rounds there to finish up the manual for FOC, Welcome to Malaysia!, hahahaha.)

But of course the BEST OF ALL is, I'M WATCHING TRANSFORMERS TOMORROW MORNING AT 12.15am (OK, i know this is quite embrassing yelling at my blog telling people i'm watching transformers when almost all the people in my workplace already watched ages ago)

Final Verdict: Transformers, more than meet the eyes, (Kelvin, you are going to hate this, jet jet, jet jet.. jet, hahahaha.

New Family Member (Update)

Remember, one of my previous entry, New Family Member, i was telling you that i'll have a new member joining my family soon. Well, as promised, here you are, meet "....................." errr, have not given him a name yet, hehehe, OK, i came up with few names, harry, beegee, doppy, i guess megatron sounds better...

It's a male, 9 week old, tricolor beagle. Yes, it does look like the character Snoopy as it was derived from the beagle breed.

Pictures above weren't clear as it was taken by a handphone, will update you with clearer ones, once i get back to Ipoh with my trustworthy companion- my DLSR.

YES, finally ater months of waiting, (plus phone calls to the shop which they promised will call me back if there's stock, BUT DID NOT) today i tried my luck and went over to the shop and asked for this lens, and YES, it's there, and i immediately took out my card and off it went for a swipe and off it goes some $$$$ of mine, hehehe. I would also like to take this chance to thank the one who sponsored me, hahahaha.

My D50 ran out of battery, so for the time being, i will not be able to show you what this lens is capable of producing together with my D50, but stay tune, i'll definitely snap loads of it and show you guys over here.

I also found out, they have aftermarket battery grip for my D50, isn't that cool, but it is made in china but comes with a 1/2 year warranty, don't know whether want to risk buying it or not....

Final Verdict: Pardon me, as i need to go molest and hug this lens of mine for a while... Battery, battery, when can you finish charging....haiseh...

Had another outing yesterday with my colleagues, but this time it's a MAKAN outing. Right after work, we drove ourselevs to Bukit Tambun for seafood, yeah, had lots of great one like the crab, squid, mantis prawn and other digusting sea creatures which some of it tasted like rubber when you chewed it.

Found out that small abolone are call 'limpet' yeah, limpet, what a name, imgine this:-

Me: Miss, limpeh want a plate of braised limpet

Waitress: Huh......

Ok, after that, we went back to Auto City for more as the night was still early, went to Swensen for the Giant Earthquake, with only six of us left, we managed to melt every single scoop in our mouth plus also Swensen fries. This Swensen outlet in Auto City is well recomended by me, nice ambience, the satff are well trained, over all:-BAGUS!

Then, off we go across the road to Halo Cafe, not as good as what i've expected, very typical chinese (cinapek) cafe, wannabe singers singing only chinese song, i guess they can only sing chinese songs after all. Songs were slow the whole night, the staff there were OK, but they lacked of photography skill, check out the pic that the guy took for us, DAMN.

Final Verdict: If everything goes on as planned, my next outing with them, will be to Genting.....

Miss English Hotties!!!!

Just this morning, i had a chance to cover a beauty pagent event organised by an american company in conjuction with their English Week. But from all the groups that had presented, i particularly found this group which called themselves Miss English Hotties intersting, in fact way interesting.

I also had a chance to prepared their props for them. OK imagine 5 contestants, one being the MC parading themselves over the company's cafeteria with operators and staff jeering and shouting plus whistling when they cat walked on the stage.

Not until, this hotty came out who call herself Miss Anita Penang, the crowd turned from fanatic to lunatic, all i could hear was claps, laughter, shouting (of course they are excited to see such pretty lass).

Anyway, the event will be a success and by the end of the whole English Week, we'll see whether this Hotties team will be able to bag something home.

Final Verdict: Curious and want to know more about who this Miss Anita Penang is, check out the screen next to her on image no. 2 above, Well, that's the real her.

Hey ya, was in Dragon-i moments ago. OK i know i've been there like million of times for the past few days, but hey, i just felt like having chinese food for dinner.

See the steamed groundnuts above, well, that's a new addition from them. Served to you for FREE, no extra charges, and i asked one of the 'tea' boy (who only knows how to speak english but works in a chinese restaurant) is it FREE, he said YES, then i said if i want to have another plate can? He said no problem! Isn't it cool to be working with Dragon-i when a 'tea boy' (eg. person who is in charge of refilling tea and table setup) has the say to give free steamed groundnuts to customers. That's Cool, Kudos

Final Verdict: I had the usual bucket rice, was served to me in less than 5 minutes, surprisingly, which normally only can be serve to in 15-20mins. Yeah, this weekend, do not ever think of going to Queensbay, TV3 is having a HUGE carnival at the open area car park, that means less parking, MORE people, go to Sunway Carnival Mall instead, hehehe, or like me go back Ipoh.

After what happened to my car during this year's Chap Goh Meh, the next worst thing happened again. This time my mum's 16 year old car, (hahaha, talk about antique, but hey, it's still running perfectly on the road, in fact better than some of the newer cars around i would say, which it definitely does not need the RM5k plan to scrap old cars) was crashed by somebody who decided to reverse its car out from the house without looking at their rear and side mirrors.
Final Verdict: You own the house, not the road outside your house, if you can't do a back reverse into you house, then DAMN IT, reverse with alert.

Went back to Ipoh last weekend to celebrate my BIG Day, hahaha, yeah, but too bad this year, i only had a few buddies celebrating with me, but nevertheless it was a great one. Had dinner at a chinese restaurant, then off to sing 'K' until the wee hours. Thank you for all the SMSes that you guys sent, but it was kinda weird, there are a lot of lost contact friends that sent me messages on that day but those that I'm expecting, forgot to send me any.

Then, the next day which was my actual day, went off to check out my new family member which i'll blog about it later when i get the updated version, haha, then off to Italia Mia, the one and only Italian Restaurant from Ipoh that is run by an Italian, family business though.

Drove back to Penang, had my final celebration at TGIF, requested a cake with NO shout outs from their staffs, or else, i'll have to stand on the chair with me wearing short pant and sandal, then wait for them to shout whatever thay want to. Hahaha, thanx to two lovely colleagues of mine, i had another belated birthday treat at Pastasia.

Final Verdict: This year was a great one, my present include starbucks voucher, toy voucher, a ferrari die cast car which i need to assemble myself, and lots of $$$$ (not gonna tell you how much for security reasons) and the last present i'm waiting is, WHERE IS MY GOD DAMN 55-200mm lens, so HOT meh, no stock until now.....

New Mall

"Latest Attraction at Mainland"

Visited one on the latest attraction in mainland hours ago. It is the Sunway Carnival Mall and yes, it's related to the Sunway group, so this will be their second mall after Sunway Pyramid. Located at the Seberang Jaya Business Center within the vicinity of Sunway Hotel and other eateries, banks and etc, this mall has 4 levels which is still not yet fully open but with our Malaysian culture, as long as we can make money, we open first.

So, if you plan to visit this mall, i would say give it another month and it will be just nice. Some major retails there would be starbucks, espirit and guess, either than these, it's just some normal stuff though the theree retails i mentioned were also normal stuff.

Somehow, i felt this mall has better amenities than Queensbay in Penang, at least the flooring were all sparkling tiles, not some 'faded second hand tiles' they have in Qbay. I witness a guard helping a woman with her stroller up the main entrance stairs, well i've never seen any guards at Queensbay though besides Jusco's.

Didn't take much photo as there's nothing much i can describe. Was delighted that they have few activites going on when i was there. Statue figures was one of it where the have people dressing like a clown then pretend to be statue and stand everywhere. I really do not know what's the purpose of it. Then there was bathing, swimwear show, break dance, yoga and dancing by some pretty hot ladies, (break dance was done but mat rempits though)

Final Verdict: Well, when you are bored of Queensbay, Gurney Plaza, Prangin Mall, really sick of Midlands and Megamall, you can be like me, drive all the way there from island, check it out, have lunch then drive back home. (Yeah, according to their directory, Drag0n-i will be opening there as well, this means there will be 2 Dragon-i's in Penang, but strangely, there are no indication at the Dragon-i website about them opening an outlet over at mainland. hmm, might it be another ciplak eatery which copy their style and call themselves Dragon-1!!!!)

Nikon D80

"D200's Little Brother"

I've blogged about the D50 that i have and also the D200 long time ago. Today, somehow, i got hold of a Nikon D80 which is position in between the 50 and 200. OK, the first impression was, look and handles great. The unit i had comes with a 18-135mm lens which i think is kinda cool. DOF is really smooth which is comparable to the 35mm on the D200, though i think the 55-200mm VR that i wanted will be better but it's out of stock, DAMN it. (Bear in mind, my D50 comes with a 18-55mm, so now i want something from 55 onwards though a 18-200mm sounds really great but the $$$$ isn't).

On the back, it looks like the D50 with smaller buttons and also combination of D200. Has some of the 200 features. Uses a SD card. Like i mentioned, the handling feels good with a balance weight ratio. In the menu, it has the editing options which you can crop and add effects on it, something new that now comes with the D40 and 40x

Final Verdict: D80 feels better than my D50, but still my aim will be the D200

Over the weekend in Ipoh, i did a lot of stuff, had a great time with my buddies, had endless nice food, serviced my car and the more interesting one will be the addition of a new family member into the Yee's family.

Can't reveal much now cause i was too excited until i forgot to take a photo of him. Ok i've mentioned him, here's another clue after the picture on top.

Transformers, i mean my all time favourite mechanical guys are transforming from shoe. Marketing gimmick nowadays are really something. Imagine optimus prime was fighting against the megatron and suddenly 'je jeh je je tot' (sound of them transforming) into a shoe, and i mean only one shoe, not even a pair, then what is optimus prime gonna do, whack himself against the baddies like how the chinese 'tah siu yan'?????. Then megatron follows and 'je jeh je je tot' into another shoe, haha ok, what are they gonna do, start running 100 meters and see who is going win?

Ok, enough of bashing, though Nike likes to make both the leaders of good and bad into shoe, i mean at least make then one left and right, not just left side. I wonder what is the size?

Final Verdict: Though they look impractical, but i do not mind having one as collection.

The Long Awaited Event

After weeks of discussion, we finally had our first every 'young' outing last Friday. Well, when i mentioned we, it means the younger generations of my company. Believe it or not, everyone have been so busy that this is the first time we had an outing together after all these years. With the support of MIS, we have endless communication through various departments, from Training to LSC to Materials to Planning to Fianance, of course not forgetting MIS, hahaha. (We do have people from Engineering, but they have to Gemba everyday)

We had a 'fully stuffed' early dinner at Tao Autocity. Albeit, this is the first time i visited Tao and the one at Autocity is really exotic, you have to climbed hills, crossed the rivers in order to get to their outlet. We were lucky to have a room by ourselves. It was all laughing and eating throughout the whole 3 hours which i guess some of the guests were irritated by our ever high pitching laughter. Practically, we had everything from the first to the last item on their menu, hahaha talk about hunger and brutalities in consuming.

As usual, taking pictures will always be part of the outing, we had hundred of pictures taken and of course i'm showing you only the nice ones, hehe. After the eating session, we went to sing 'kara' at Citibox, and it ended with a smile for everybody, some tired, some still excited, but we chose to end the day early as it was raining and some had to travel 'oversea', haha.

Final Verdict: Still waiting for my 'I didn't know that...' entry, be patient ok. As for the guys and ladies in the pictures above, sorry i've sold you to the WWW, hey, my face is inside too, hahaha.

"Collie, RIP, We'll Miss You Always"

Ever felt how miserable was it to have someone dear to you vanishing from your life? The last time i had such feeling was when my grandpa left me 7 years ago before i got into college. Last Wednesday 13 June 2007, Collie left me and us. For those who knows Collie well, will definitely miss him. Collie is a Shetland Sheepdog which has a very gentle personality, will only bark when the house alarm, bell, phone rings and lost in chasing game. Either than that, he is always as calm as the sea. He once detered an asshole who tried to jump into our house.

Collie came into our family rougly around 7 years ago as a skinny and fragile stray dog who was picked up by a friend of mine. I adopted him few days later and since then there was no turning back. The furthest he travelled was to KL sitting beside me while i was driving. He had his 1 week vacation there staying at the apartment where i used to stay.

As time passes, we found out that he had kidney problem which was what caused his death. I would say from what i've understand, he died because he wasn't lucky enough to have a vet that cares for him, but instead chose to let go of him for $$$. Now i know how materialistic this world could become when $$$ takes over. Even dog still deserve a second chance to live.

No places would accept to cremate him and finally he was laid to rest in a 2 feet hole dug by my dad at my grandma's house surrounding.

Final Verdict: Collie, I'll always miss you and i'm sure i would not be able to have another you to be replaced.
